Life Lately....

Across from L - R: ITALY: travelling across Italy with multiple suitcases and a guitar on my back,
a last afternoon with my friends in Cremona,
ENGLAND: tea, reunited with my cats, beautiful spring sunset,
a cool design on the outside of the tube, Grandma and Grandad,
Richmond park with Danielle, delicious homemade salad,
spring blossoms at the park, Me at the top of a high ropes course for guides,
tea on a early morning volunteering mission in the Chilterns.

The last two weeks have been strange as I made the decision to move back home to London from Italy. It had been a long time coming and the bad (my job) had begun to overrule the good (my friends, travel etc.), which was a shame, since the good was so awesome! I don't regret the decision, but I do wish there had been another way to stay a little bit longer.

Adapting has been strange, and it has taken me a little while to feel normal again. But I'm happy to be back, seeing friends and family, stroking cats, and making videos. Plus, I have the added bonus of knowing that I have a place at university to start in September doing the course that I want to! Life is Good and I'm excited for my friends to be home for the summer soon!

Such an inspring and heartbreaking story but take the time to watch, it will make you think.

Visiting Venezia!

Venice was special. It's somewhere I have always wanted to visit, the stories of winding canals had me drawn in when I was a little girl, that teamed with the little Venetian china mask (brought back from when my parents went to visit) that has hung on my wall for years and years have made this place the top of my list of Italian cities to visit. It was magical and beautiful but so busy, but I'm so glad I got the opportunity to visit!
these two little girls were so awe of the grandeur of the canal , it summed up the way I felt.

Starting chatting to this man in Italian and (I think) he told me his paintings were worth it and
'imagine this in your home' - it made me laugh.
Unique way of showing your love for the city.

Gondola pile - up!

The trio!

We decided to get the water taxi back to the station and at one point our boat
got used as a go-between for all the other boats. We ended up sneakily swapping boats.

Any thoughts on Venice?

Exploring Padova.

Padova was perfect with its green grass, sunshine and buskers. We spent the afternoon wandering the streets, eating gelato and relaxing in the main square 'prato della valle' - there was such an atmosphere about the place, it is a university town so there was so much going on compared to where we live. We ate dinner overlooking a beautiful piazza that housed the main court (which looked more like a theatre or church - it was so detailed) and ate pizza, batting our eyelashes at a cute waiter and drinking espressos - after all, the night was still young! Later on, we met up with an Italian guy who is a friend of my friend and he took us to an outdoor rock concert which was awesome, there were hundreds of people just dancing in the square and we couldn't resist joining it. I would love to go back and explore a bit more, it was just so beautiful. I also loved how there were trams. Don't trams just make everything better? While we were waiting to get one back to our B & B, we saw a full moon light up the sky, it was absolutely stunning.

so green!
the main square: prato della valle - a park surrounded by a moat!
no trip is complete without the obligatory shoe photo, mine are the red ones, don't red shoes make everything  brighter?
they just make me smile when I look down at my feet :) its the simple things, right?
in my element, with camera in hand.
a great group of buskers and the cute little kiddies who were watching (and so well behaved compared to my little italian kids)
dinnertime laughter.
the amazing full moon.
the trio! chilling at the concert!

have you visited any fun places recently?
